In week one of the studio session we were given a brief were we had to create a toy or a game which hasn't already been invented, we were put into groups of four of five and together we had to come up with a design concept as well as storyboards to illustrate our idea. In our group we came up with a few ideas but the one we decided on was The Blob, this is more of a toy than a game. The blob is a round ball of malleable rubber like plastic, which can be easily moulded in to different shapes. The Blob can be made into people, cars, trees and animals. Loads of different versions of the Blob are available, there are special packets, which you can buy to create different things, such as a car, and this pack would contain wheels and bumper, which can be easily attracted to the Blob. The Blob can also be bought in every colour imaginable, but if you have a Blob in a colour you don’t like you can buy the special liquid, which you apply, to the Blob to change its colour. The Blob can be moulded into any shape and re-moulded over and over again; if you want the Blob to stay in a certain shape forever you can put the blob in the oven to set the shape.
